Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Ladakh Cultural Forum | 3 October 2026

The Ladakh Cultural Forum (LCF) celebrated its Golden Jubilee on 3 October 2026 at Choglamsar, Ladakh, marking 50 years of its dedication to preserving, promoting and strengthening Ladakh’s rich cultural heritage. Founded in 1976 by distinguished scholars and artists under the leadership of the late historian Tashi Rabgais, the Forum has worked to safeguard Ladakh’s indigenous knowledge systems, languages, literature, traditional arts and cultural practices, rooted in the Ten Fields of Knowledge (Rig-gnas bCu). The Golden Jubilee brought together scholars, artists, cultural practitioners and distinguished guests to celebrate five decades of cultural service, reflect on the Forum’s achievements and renew its commitment to safeguarding Ladakh’s cultural legacy for future generations.
