How the Egyptian Grain Tax Worked

Without you, the empire collapses, but keeping Ancient Egypt alive requires you to be the most hated man in the kingdom. Step into the mud of the Ramesside period to work a shift as a local tax scribe, where you must choose between mutilation by the Vizier or ruining the lives of starving farmers. In this interactive historical documentary, we explore the rigged math of the ancient grain tax, the brutality of the Medjay police, and the real choices recorded in surviving documents like the Wilbour and Turin Papyri. Every decision you make today costs someone grain. Will you survive the shift? #AncientEgypt #History #Documentary #HistoricalSurvival
