Rohini Lake sits about 20-25 km from Siliguri via Kaprail Road — a short drive that turns into a genuinely scenic one once you leave the city behind. We explored the lake and its surrounding gardens, learned a bit about its history (it was developed as a tourist spot around 2004, with boating introduced later), got a drone's-eye view of the whole area, and took Shutu on her first horse ride here. Things didn't go entirely to plan — the gate closed on us mid-visit, so naturally, we ordered momos instead, and ended up sharing them with the resident cats. 📍 What's in this video: The drive: Siliguri → Kaprail Road → Rohini Rohini Lake's history and boating Drone views and a lake timelapse Shutu's horse ride A peaceful walk along the stream The closed-gate detour, momos, and very persistent cats We're already planning our next stop in this same area — a small hanging bridge over a stream nearby.
