This month’s Quarterly Spotlight Presentation features an update from the SMART-EarthRanger Conservation Alliance (SERCA), a groundbreaking global collaboration between the SMART Partnership and EarthRanger. SERCA aims to deliver an advanced, unified conservation software suite and a global service network. This presentation introduces the vision behind SERCA and how it seeks to empower practitioners worldwide with the tools, data, and community needed to make conservation more effective than ever before. Furthermore, the session explores the potential for alignment between the Conservation Measures Partnership (CMP) and SERCA regarding adaptive management. We examine the possibility of how these networks might form a complementary partnership to strengthen conservation practice and learning, opening the floor for input on how such a collaboration could best serve the global community.
