Expedition Altai | Iron Maelstrom

Join us on an epic adventure as we ride a couple of Urals with sidecars into the remote Altai mountains of Southern Siberia, Russia. No camera crew, no back-up vehicles, just the Urals and the open road ahead. Originally World War II bikes that were reverse-engineered from BMW R71s, the Urals were christened M-72s by the Red Army. These 90s models were the real, raw deal. Drum brakes, carburettors and 650cc of opposed twin-cylinder torque.
