120 Years of the Bohinj Railway | Museum Steam Train Trainspotting & Aerial Views in 4K

Join us for a special railway celebration marking the 120th anniversary of the Bohinj Railway, one of the most spectacular and historic railway lines in Europe. Opened in 1906, the Bohinj Railway remains a masterpiece of engineering, connecting the regions of Gorenjska and Primorska through breathtaking Alpine landscapes, tunnels, bridges, and viaducts. This video combines spectacular aerial drone footage and trainspotting scenes of the restored museum steam train operating on the Bohinj Line during the anniversary celebrations. Filmed around Bača pri Modreju and Most na Soči, the footage captures the beautifully restored steam locomotive and vintage coaches as they travel through the stunning Soča Valley, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and historic railway infrastructure. The anniversary events highlighted the rich heritage of the line and included activities along the railway, including exhibitions and celebrations beneath the famous viaduct at Bača pri Modreju. Watch as the steam train crosses one of Slovenia's most scenic railway sections, bringing history back to life with the sights and sounds of a bygone era. A true treat for railway enthusiasts, steam locomotive fans, and lovers of spectacular landscapes. All my videos are copyrighted.
