Ride along with us as we bike the 11-mile scenic Cades Cove loop during vehicle free days! Click on the chapters below to see the highlights or watch the whole video for the full 11 miles! We visit a historic church, see bears, and take in the beauty of the Smoky Mountains on a summer day. Vehicle free days are on Wednesdays from May to September. You will need a Smoky Mountains parking pass to park, so be sure to pick one up before entering the park. We bought ours at the Townsend Visitor Center, but they can be purchased at several locations in the park including the Cades Cove Visitors Center. Tip: We highly recommend getting your parking pass before arrival to prevent backtracking to your car in another parking area. Parking fills up early! Although there is parking available at the Visitors Center, spaces are difficult to come by, so we parked at the Cades Cove Campground picnic area just across the road. We visited late in the afternoon to allow crowds to lighten up. Pack a snack and a water bottle and enjoy the view!
