Sonu Varghese Visualisation by : Mr. Jijesh Mohandas Captured by : Mr. Georgekutty Bold and sophisticated living with wooden floors and wooden ceiling defines the spaces. The concept of the design is ‘folded plates’ giving it a nonlinear pattern for furniture and wall finishes. Rustic finish natural stones and reflective mirror wall generates a focal point. The folded pattern can be seen on TV unit, crockery shelf and bookshelf. The latter is made of thin metal sheets to attain the sleek modern finish. Blue sofa seating with cement textured wall with antique wall lights at background makes the family living more lively. Bronze mirror wall done in a Flemish pattern reflects the dining space creating a feeling of openness. The pattern on the wall resemblance the stone cladding done on the adjacent TV wall, generating a unity in the design. Cantilevered breakfast counter with ‘Folded style’ crockery shelf adds to the overall design concept – ‘Folded Plate’. Bedroom is designed giving emphasis to circulation. The furniture layout is done in a such a way that a bed with backrest remains at the center making it opposite to the TV wall and console table. Adjacent to bed we have a mirror table with mirror and a workstation on either sides. The wooden wardrobe is placed at a corner, thereby attaining asymmetrical balance in design. Blue textured wall on the background of red leather upholstery gives the room a bold and sophisticated character. Architecture and Interior Design by Ar.
