On October 2nd, we had a full-house for the launch of CSGS Director, Professor Mark Pennington's new book Foucault and Liberal Political Economy: Power, Knowledge and Freedom (Oxford University Press, 2025). The event was introduced by Professor Robin Douglass from King’s Department of Political Economy and followed by a drinks reception. About CSGS: The Centre for the Study of Governance and Society (CSGS) examines how both formal and informal rules of governance operate and evolve, and how these rules facilitate or imperil peaceful, prosperous, and ecologically secure societies.
