MARCH OF THE FOOL ( Vs. Arcana ) - Deltarune: Expansion - Chapter 6 -Secret Boss Animation-

During the lightner journey through the graveyard darkworld, the group confronted the conjoined reapers, who led the flame cult. The cult chased them, and while wooly saved catti, kris was caught by the twin reaper. The reaper knew about the powerful soul inside kris and struck it with an unnatural energy that instantly killed both kris and the soul. When the game over screen appeared, the option to start over at the last save point became corrupted. Instead of restarting, the soul was sent to a strange, bright place called the above. A mysterious light guided the soul through this area, and the light was later revealed to be the save point itself. As it guided the soul, kris and the soul were reunited. They soon met arcana, the self-proclaimed ruler of heaven who believed he was the almighty magician. As kris explored the above, they read prophecy panels written by three lightners. This revealed that kris, catti, and wooly were actually the ones who shaped this darkworld. The cult leader are the sickles in the lightworld, and the tarot cards catti played with used to rule over the flames. The three friends had made up a story about two realms, the dark and the light, and wrote that a magician card would be the one to connect these two worlds together. However, the magician card was lost at some point, leaving the fool as the only powerful card left in the deck. Arcana believed he was that lost magician, and he thought he was destined to connect the two realms just like the story said. But it was clear that arcana was not the real magician, and the true, lost magician might never be found. The strange light eventually led kris and the soul to the staircase to the living. This was an infinitely long staircase that was supposed to be impossible to climb. With the help of a friendly darkner in the above, kris managed to fly to the very top. There, arcana attacked them again. He was still in denial about being just a fool. He believed that to become the true magician, he had to become even greater, so he tried to take the angel power for himself. He kept telling the soul that without the magician, the deltarune prophecy would be stuck in an endless loop with no conclusion. After defeating arcana and reaching the top of the staircase, the soul reached the gate to the living. The gate gave them a message that they must deliver if they ever find the true magician, who is still down in the below.
