Our First Taste of New Orleans 🇺🇸 Beignets, Bourbon Street & a Haunted Restaurant! #neworleans #frenchquarter #bourbonstreet 🇺🇸 *Welcome to NEW ORLEANS!* 🎷⚜️ Join us for an unforgettable adventure through Louisiana as we make our way to New Orleans and explore one of the most fascinating cities in America! Our journey starts with a visit to the incredible **Nottoway Plantation**, a huge historic mansion built in 1859 along the Mississippi River. From its beautiful rooms and architecture to the much darker history of the enslaved people who lived and worked here, this was definitely an eye-opening stop. Then it's time for *NOLA!* 🎺 We hit the famous **French Quarter**, wander the colourful streets, soak up the atmosphere and, of course, try some of the food New Orleans is famous for! 🥯 Beignets covered in powdered sugar at Café du Monde 🍬 Fresh Creole pralines 🔥 Bananas Foster 🍹 New Orleans cocktails 🍔 And yes… I went all the way to New Orleans and ordered a hamburger! 😂 We also visit **St. Louis Cathedral**, Jackson Square and the historic Cabildo, see the Mississippi River and check out New Orleans' iconic streetcars. And we even visit **Muriel's**, where legend says a former owner still haunts the building! 👻 New Orleans has an incredible mix of history, architecture, music, food and nightlife.
