The massive flood in Rasuwa caused a huge increase in the flow of the Trishuli River, severely affecting areas downstream. At Krishna Bhir, the powerful river current eroded and washed away a section of the Prithvi Highway, disrupting transportation along this important highway. Now, four excavators are working at the damaged section to open a new alternative track and restore road connectivity.
