We cross-check information using sources such as Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, public sources, local signs, and research assistance tools. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► Description: 📍 This no-commentary walking tour begins just inside the gate of Molo Mansion, then crosses Locsin Street into Molo Plaza while the setting sun is still lighting the face of Molo Church. 🌆 The walk starts with a short loop around the main plaza area in front of Molo Church before heading toward the access road where street food vendors begin to gather for the evening. ⛪ Molo is one of Iloilo City’s historic districts, known for Molo Plaza, Molo Church, Molo Mansion, Pancit Molo, and its older residential streets. 🛍️ After leaving the plaza, the route crosses Locsin Street again to look for the small old Molo Public Market. The market is easy to miss, very small, and not clearly signposted during this visit. 🌃 From the market area, the walk returns to Locsin Street and continues toward Timawa Street, where the light continues to fade. 🚧 The route follows Timawa Street and crosses ICAG Road before reaching the East Timawa roadworks area. This section was nearing completion of road, drainage, and flood-mitigation works, with crews still working in the evening light. 🏘️ The walk then turns north along a smaller road beside Iloilo City National High School, passing homes, sari-sari stores, school walls, and local neighborhood activity. 🚒 From there, the route reaches Marcelo H. del Pilar Street and heads back toward Molo Plaza, passing ICAG emergency vehicles, Molo Cemetery, GT Mall Molo, and distant views of Molo Church’s spires in the twilight. 🍢 By the time we return to Molo Plaza, the area has shifted closer to night.
