Miniature Railway Modelling - Part 1: History, Planning and Research

For nearly 20 years now, you have known me for modelling the Ffarquhar Branch and recreating the Rev W Awdry's models and layouts. But now I'm ready to call it quits for the time being to look at modelling something else which I've been wanting to do since 2011. Now don't worry, I will come back to model the locos and stock of the NWR, but this is more of a recharge for me and to look at something completely different. The form of modelling I'm going to look at isn't looked as much as I thought it would and some examples I've seen that feature this kind of modelling don't give it the attention I feel it should. So join me as I dive into this new project and hope it will maybe start a new trend to show that even other areas of railway modelling deserve some attention.
