Installing 100-Pound Batteries in My 1985 Mack MC… Should’ve Flipped the Cab! | Rescue to Roll Off

Rescue to Roll Off – Episode: Battery Installation! We’re making progress on bringing this 1985 Mack MC retired rescue truck back to life and turning it into a roll-off truck for MF Dumpsters! In this episode, I’m installing brand-new batteries in this old Mack. There’s just one problem… they’re mounted in a crazy spot between the cab and the box! With each battery weighing around 100 pounds, I found myself climbing up and down the front and back of this truck trying to get them installed. After all that work, we finally got everything hooked up and went for a test start. Then we decided to flip the cab up… and discovered it would’ve been a whole lot easier to just tilt the cab and stand on the engine to install the batteries in the first place! Sometimes you learn the hard way, but that’s all part of the build. We’re taking this old Mack one step at a time, and I’m getting more excited about this project with every video.
