Hopefulhearts is the story of a group of young people who have spent the past year supporting one another through their recovery journey. Through challenges, setbacks, friendship, treatment, mentorship and community support, they have continued moving forward with hope. In this powerful documentary, we hear directly from the young people about their experiences and what this one-year journey has meant to them. We also sit down with the people who have walked alongside them: • Doctors who supported their treatment and recovery • A psychiatrist who shares insights into mental health and the importance of professional support • Peer educators who have provided guidance, encouragement and mentorship • Members of SAPTA for Kibra who have been part of the community support and recovery journey This is a story about more than recovery.
