#49 Virtua Fighter 4 PS2 \\ Lion starts Kumite! VF1 model & motorcycle helmet unlocked! : o \\ VF4

Taking praying mantis boxing practitioner Lion Rafale into Kumite mode in Virtua Fighter 4 on PS2! Of the characters I've played so far, Lion has been by far the easiest to pick up and play, and after some initial fumbling around stupidly in the menus, I found myself pretty quickly getting into the swing of things with Lion, and I managed to unlock loads of cool stuff for him like colors way better than the default colors, a sweet motorcycle helmet (in two colors!), and his "VF1" character model! : ) (Which is a fright show! : oo) 0:00 - start 1:20 - creating a Lion player character 4:16 - checking his initial costumes 6:19 - switching the menus to a Lion wallpaper ^_^ 7:51 - Lion into Kumite! 15:18 - vs "Schoolboy," a 9th kyu Lion with a cool motorcycle helmet : oo 16:39 - I win the match, and apparently unlocked something! 16:52 - the very next fight is against Schoolboy again, but now he doesn't have the helmet! Where did it go? : o 33:09 - I score a really lucky round win against a 3rd dan Lei-Fei ("Manta Ray") with an accidentally tricky throw (it's Hiten Soukukyaku: back, forward + P + G) that sends him out of the ring! 35:20 - I have the motorcycle helmet!! 41:01 - Training mode - move list - checking Lion's throws (can't throw crouching opponents) 43:08 - back into Kumite! (w/ sub costume this time) 1:07:00 - promoted to 1st dan! That means I can now use Lion VF1 character model : ) 1:15:53 - checking unlocked colors 1:20:46 - loading into Kumite with the VF1 model... (hold Punch + Kick after selecting character) 1:21:08 - aaaugh Lion's VF1 model is scary : o I've played with Lau and Vanessa's VF1 models in VF4, and they're pretty neat-looking! Lion's though is eh uh kinda horrid. : o (It may be my imagination but I think they clean it up a little for Virtua Fighter 10th Anniversary.)
