Cerro Gordo Silver Run 2026, Keeler CA, Owens Valley, Bridger Ridge Run Training

A brief montage video of the 2026 Cerro Gordo Silver Run. The course is on a gravel road that climbs 4600 feet in elevation over 8 miles. The May 23 day was warm and mostly sunny. Up at the top it was cool and breezy. The course is a steady steep grind. Not much faster to run than to walk. This was a training run for the Bridger Ridge Run. It is my first significant climb in elevation since 2022, the last time I did the Ridge Run. It is hard to improve fitness and speed when you are nearly 70 years old. We will see if it is possible. The person that came in second in this event has done the Bridger Ridge Run a couple times in winning fashion. Comparing my time to his in this event, I can scale up to get an estimate of my potential Ridge Run time.
