🏁 Assetto Corsa Competizione | Nürburgring Nordschleife | Ferrari 296 | 7:24 LAP TIME 🔥🏎️ Well… I finally did it - Almost I almost managed to keep the Ferrari 296 on the road around the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife! 😂 And when I say almost, I mean there were several moments where the car and I had a serious disagreement about which direction we were supposed to be travelling. 🤣 This is Assetto Corsa Competizione, and the Nürburgring Nordschleife is definitely not a place where you can afford to switch your brain off. This track has everything — fast sections, blind corners, elevation changes, tricky braking zones, cambered corners and plenty of opportunities to discover parts of the grass you didn't know existed! 🌱😂 My goal was simple: Drive fast - But not toooo fast Hit the apexes - or at least try to Keep the Ferrari 296 pointing in the right direction - Easier said than done. And, most importantly… STAY ON THE ROAD! 😂 After plenty of attempts, mistakes, questionable braking decisions and moments where I was absolutely convinced the Ferrari was trying to kill me, I finally managed to put together a 7:24 lap. 🏁 7:24 around the Nürburgring Nordschleife! For some drivers, that might not sound particularly impressive. For me? I’m celebrating like I just won Le Mans! 🏆😂 The Nordschleife is a completely different challenge compared with shorter circuits. There are so many corners linked together that one mistake can completely ruin the next section of the lap. You can nail one corner perfectly… …and then immediately forget how braking works. 🤦‍♂️😂 The biggest challenge for me was finding the right balance between speed and control. Go too slow and you're losing time. Go too fast and you're suddenly exploring the scenery. Brake too early and you think: “I could have carried more speed!” Brake too late and you think: “WHY DID I DO THAT?!” 😂 Then comes the apex. Sometimes I hit it perfectly. Sometimes I get close. And sometimes the apex and I are basically strangers. 🤣 The Ferrari 296 makes the experience even more exciting. It has the performance to attack the track, but that also means you need to be confident with your braking, throttle application, racing line and corner entry speed. And then there are the exits… Getting a good corner exit is everything. You want to get back onto the throttle, build speed and carry momentum into the next section. But get greedy with the throttle? Well… Let's just say the grass has become one of my most consistent competitors. 🌱😂 There were plenty of moments during this run where I thought: “This is it. This is the lap.” Then five seconds later: “Never mind.” 🤣 But that's exactly what makes SIM Racing so addictive. You keep coming back. You try a different braking point. You change your racing line. You carry a little more speed. You try to hit the apex more accurately. You improve the exit. And eventually, those tiny improvements start adding up. This 7:24 Nürburgring Nordschleife lap might not be perfect, but it represents progress for me. And honestly, keeping the Ferrari on the road for an entire lap around the Nordschleife deserves its own trophy! 😂🏆 I’m still learning SIM Racing, still making mistakes and still trying to figure out exactly how much speed I can carry before physics reminds me who is in charge.
