A song for the Tor family. Twelve siblings, twelve names, and each name is a piece of one spring painting. We live across Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and the USA, but put us together and you'll see one picture.
This is the Watercolor edition, Version 2 (4K, for TV and big screens). The painting starts in grey ink. Each emblem colours in as its name is sung, and the whole picture blooms in the final chorus. The lyrics fill in word by word, so sing along.

LYRICS
VERSE 1
The peony opened first of all, she's Hua in Singapore,
Then Kang, the river, wound his way to Malaysia's shore.
Chong, the pine with ancient roots, held the family line,
And Tay rose up like Tai at dawn and taught the sun to shine.
VERSE 2
San's the mountain, standing still, as steady as the stone,
Ing's the branch in blossom, so we never stand alone.
Doris is the crescent moon, soft light across the sea,
And Hoon's the cloud that drifts up high and blesses you and me.
CHORUS
Twelve names, one spring day,
Painted on a single page though we live oceans away.
Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, USA,
Put us all together and you'll see
The picture of the Tor family.
VERSE 3
Yenna is the swallow, she always finds her way back home,
Hong's the orchid, sweet and fair, in New Zealand's land she's grown.
Lian, the lotus, she rose clean from waters deep and still,
Then one more blossom on the bough, the last one on the hill.
BRIDGE
I came last, the plum upon the branch,
I watched you paint the sky before me, one by one.
Plum blooms in the cold to say the winter's done,
And when I came, the spring had come.
FINAL CHORUS
Hua, Kang, Chong, Tay, San, Ing,
Doris, Hoon, Yenna, Hong, Lian, Choon.
Twelve names, one spring day,
Painted on a single page though we live oceans away.
Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, USA,
Put us all together and you'll see
The picture of the Tor family.
OUTRO

Written by the youngest, Choon.
