[JAPAN] Emiri Hijikata Tribute - Fashion Model

This video introduces you to Ms. Emiri Hijikata (aka Emily Hijikata), one of Japan's hopeful upcoming fashion models. Emiri was born in Tokyo to a Japanese mother who was a fashion model herself and a German father who works as a businessman in Japan. Emiri has one lovely older sister, Erena, who also works as a fashion model. Emiri has expanded her career as a child fashion model to a child actress and TV personality. However, her education comes first and if her grades fall, she will stop working, she says. Emiri was scouted by a talent agent while in the third grade of elementary school; she as a teenager was shopping in Tokyo with her family when scouted. Her parents were skeptical but later they learned it was legitimate. Started in 2018, Emiri appeared on NHK E-Tele's "E-Dance Academy" for two years, where she learned how to dance. In 2021, she was selected as one of the ten finalists for "Miss Seventeen Japan" magazine model, but she didn't become the final winner to get the contract. In March 2022, Emiri made her acting debut in the final episode of the drama series "Aibou: Season 20." She played Maria, the daughter of Miyako Yashiro (portrayed by Yukie Nakama), and garnered attention on social media for her striking beauty. From April to Sept 2022, Emiri appeared on TV Tokyo's "Oha Suta" as an "Oha Girl Trainee." On Sept 23 of that year, at an event held at the Ikebukuro Sunshine City Fountain Plaza, Emiri was officially selected as an "Oha Girl" alongside Kaho Kawamura (SUPER☆GiRLS) and Hana Goto (Hello! Pro Kenshusei, later Angerme). Her nickname as an Oha Girl was "Emi-chi." She launched her career as a musical artist on Jan 25, 2023, with the song "Itterashakitto!!!" She graduated from the Oha Girls following the "Oha Suta" broadcast on March 22, 2024. Her tenure lasted two years, including her time as a trainee. Emiri is very close to her older sister, Erena. Her hobbies include dancing and handicrafts. Special skills include jump rope and speaking German and American English. Emiri and Erena are trilingual.
