It is a huge char that has arisen naturally and its area is 61 acres (25 hectares).[1] The char is located 60 km from the Bay of Bengal. The char arose approximately in 2009. Chhailar Char was designated as a tourist destination in 2015.[2] It is currently a tourist destination and picnic spot.
