On An Ordinary Journey

On An Ordinary Journey - Psychedelic Rock, Progressive Rock, Classic Rock, Art Rock. The sun is a pale coin tossed in the grey Counting the miles of a repetitive day The tea has gone cold, the newspaper’s read While the echoes of giants dance in your head You’re staring at patterns of dust on the glass Watching the ghosts of your memories pass. On an ordinary journey, through a familiar door Searching for secrets we’ve stepped on before The horizon is tethered, the sky is a cage Just another ink-blot on a yellowing page We’re sailing on concrete, we’re climbing the air Going nowhere slowly, but we’re already there. The ticket is torn and the station is still A silent surrender of power and will The man in the mirror is someone you knew Before the kaleidoscope faded to blue He’s shouting in silence, he’s waving goodbye To a flicker of light in a lead-heavy sky. Did they promise you oceans? Did they hand you a stream? Just a cog in the motion Of a clockwork dream. Walking in circles... Chasing the sun... The journey is ending... Before it’s begun. #psychedelicrock , #progressiverock , #classicrock , #artrock .
