On July 6, 2025, we went targeting large Japanese whiting (kisu) at a deep-water spot in Satomi, Fukushima, Matsuura City, Nagasaki Prefecture. This time, we carefully worked the 3- to 4-color line range, and it paid off with hits from whiting over 20 cm in length. As always, we used the trusted combination of Masterize + Z45, paired with Sessha’s semi-fixed rig and V-sinker for outstanding stability. While we didn’t get many double or triple hookups, most of the catches were good-sized whiting, making for a satisfying day of fishing. Enjoy this technical deep-water midsummer fishing session!
