A Seedling Bench for A Home Garden

A 17-inch Happy Leaf Procyon 2.0 LED light fixture provided the lighting for a portable seedling bench. Lettuce and pakchoi seedlings grew equally well for about the first 2 weeks from this seedling bench and from a pole lamp with a residential LED bulb. However, as time progressed to 25 days after planting, the seedlings under the pole lamp became more etiolated and weak, whereas those on the seedling bench with the Procyon light grew well. It was suggested that the Procyon light was designed for plant growing and had a more favorable spectral wavelength than the residential LED bulb.
