Roberto Duran's Infighting Masterclass Head Control, Handfighting & the Lost Art of Inside Fighting

/ boringbreakdowns   The lost art of infighting is one of the most overlooked skillsets in combat sports — and nobody used the inside fighting range as hunting grounds better than Roberto Duran. This boxing breakdown studies a rare sparring session between Roberto Duran and Nigel Benn in London to expose the glove positioning, head control, and forearm control details that made Duran's close range boxing so devastatingly effective. This fight analysis breaks down how Duran constantly fought for advantageous glove positioning — transitioning between inside bicep tie, overhook, underhook, and inside bar positions to block potential shots and control his opponent's weapons before they could be used. Then we go to head control — how Duran recognized Nigel Benn's superior head position, backed out, reset, and worked his way back to an even position where he could use the space between both athletes for both offense and defense. Dirty boxing, clinch work, forearm control, elite fight IQ, and the boxing technique and boxing tactics that make this striking breakdown essential combat sports analysis for anyone serious about understanding what infighting at the highest level actually looks like.
