BC-250 Permanent 8-Core Unlock — Modified BIOS Guide & Gaming Benchmarks In this video, I demonstrate how to permanently unlock all eight CPU cores on the BC-250 APU by flashing a modified BIOS. This is a continuation of my previous software-based guide. The earlier method required running an unlock script again after completely powering off the system. With the modified BIOS, the additional cores can be enabled directly in the BIOS interface, making the process much easier and permanent. In this video, I show: How to check whether your BC-250 can operate with all eight CPU cores Where to download the required BIOS files and utilities How to flash the modified BIOS step by step How to enable Unlock CPU Cores in the BIOS How to verify that the system recognizes 8 cores and 16 threads Gaming performance comparisons between 6 cores / 12 threads and 8 cores / 16 threads Changes in average FPS, 1% lows, CPU usage, frame times, temperatures, and overall stability Games tested Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Cyberpunk 2077 DOOM: The Dark Ages Assassin’s Creed Shadows Total War: WARHAMMER III The goal is to determine whether unlocking the two additional CPU cores provides a meaningful improvement in modern games and whether it helps with CPU-heavy scenes, frame-time stability, and 1% lows. Important warning Not every BC-250 APU is guaranteed to have two fully functional disabled cores. Test the software-based unlock first and thoroughly check system stability before flashing the modified BIOS. BIOS flashing always carries a risk, and you perform this modification at your own responsibility. Make sure you use the correct BIOS file for your specific BC-250 board and do not interrupt the flashing process.
