17 Hours On The Mount Whitney Trail

This trail climbs Mount Whitney, the tallest peak in the contiguous United States. Starting at Whitney Portal, the hike is approximately 21.4 mi (34.4 km) round trip, with an elevation gain of over 6,100 ft (1,860 m). My daughter and I made the summit of Mt. Whitney in one day on September 15, 2026.
