Notion just released Property access, and you can finally control who sees each column in a database. In this video I show 3 real use cases: hiding costs from a client portal, what happens to views when a column is hidden, and giving each project lead access to only their own budget. 📥 Get the template from this video Duplicate the exact workspace I used: https://younestemplates.notion.site/b... ⚠️ Note: Notion doesn't copy sharing settings when you duplicate a template. Page-level access rules and property access rules won't come with it, so you'll need to set them up in your own workspace. Follow the steps in the video. 🌐 My Website: https://notionbyounes.com 🛒 My templates on the Notion Marketplace: https://www.notion.com/@younestemplates 𝕏 Follow me on X: https://x.com/NotionbyYounes 🎥 What you'll learn 0:00 The problem: clients see every property 0:27 Page-level access vs property access 1:21 The demo workspace + where to find Property access 1:58 Use case 1: Hide costs & internal notes from clients 3:14 Use case 2: Hidden properties & filtered views 3:37 Use case 3: Each lead sees only their own budget 6:09 Things to know before setting it up 7:02 Recap 📌 Good to know Property access is in Alpha Available on Notion Business and Enterprise plans The first permission change on a property can take a few minutes to save. A view that filters, sorts, or groups by a hidden property may not open for that person. Build separate views for each audience. Title, created time, and last edited by can't be restricted. People with Full access are never restricted, so test with a real account 🛠️ Want it built for your business? I design custom Notion systems for agencies, consultants, and teams: client portals with the right access for every client, project and operations systems, and integrations with tools like Slack, Xero, and Zapier. #notion #notiontemplate #clientportal #notiontips #notiontutorial
