Saving Eastern Hemlocks from HWA in Norfolk County, Ontario

Some of Southern Ontario’s largest Eastern Hemlocks are at risk of disappearing. An invasive pest, Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA), is spreading across the region and killing Eastern Hemlocks, including some of Canada’s largest recorded trees. Once these magnificent trees are gone, the cool, forested habitats they create and the wildlife that depend on them are also at risk. We can help protect them, but time is running out. We have identified priority trees on Long Point Basin Land Trust (LPBLT) properties that can be treated, and we need your support to act now.
