Static ceiling lights and stale perfume fill the room while the vocalsng rasp about a clawing, rain-matted bird that refuses to die. Hope here is no soft comfort-it's a ragged thing that digs in, burns itself against neon, and keeps rising from open ugh flame and gasoline. Butterflies with torn wings circle the ruins. Bruised, stubborn, and strangely beautiful: the sound of something that should have given up, still coughing melody through the rust.
