Crosswind Landings with the Stinson 108 -3

Some reasonable quartering crosswinds called me to the airport for a quick flight to practice my landing technique. The Stinson 108 -3 or "Big Tail" is known to be a beast for ground handling in winds above 20 kts. With the winds still in the teens I decided it would be well within my abilities while still providing a little challenge. As I arrived at the airport two other members were coming back from practicing commercial maneuvers and approaches. They gave me an update on the current conditions. Once up I was reminded how you can't relax when flying a tailwheel aircraft, even when you are not flying the back country. As always classic aircraft, taildraggers, crosswinds, and friends make for a fun time.
