Antibiotic Residue is a most common testing parameter of food and other samples. Two major groups of antibiotics are Tetracycline and Quinolone. Tetracycline class of antibiotics includes Tetracycline, Chlortetracycline, Oxytetracycline, Doxycycline, Demeclocycline, Minocycline, Methacycline, Lymecycline, Meclocycline, Rolitetracycline and Tigecycline. Quinolone class of antibiotics includes Ciprofloxacin, Levofloxacin, Trovafloxacin, Lomefloxacin, Norfloxacin, Ofloxacin, Enoxacin, Cinoxacin, Nalidixic acid, Sparfloxacin, Gatifloxacin and Moxifloxacin.
Quantification of the Antibiotic Residues using HPLC is most precise and widely used method. Sample preparation is very crucial step of this test. This video represents a detailed procedure of the sample preparation for the determination or quantification of Antibiotic Residues of all members from both groups of Tetracycline and Quinolone using HPLC. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Follow us on Social Networks to Stay Connected:
