Want simple newborn exercises for babies 0–3 months? In this video, I share gentle newborn movements to support brain development, motor development, body awareness and early sensory experiences.
I’m a physiotherapist, and I’ll show you simple baby exercises including open-and-close movements, bending and stretching, cross-body movement, gentle twist and turn, rocking and swaying, tummy time and independent movement.
These newborn activities are designed to give your baby opportunities to experience movement, touch, balance, different positions and interaction with you. The aim is not to make your baby reach milestones early, but to support healthy early development through gentle, age-appropriate movement and play.
In this video:
• newborn exercises for 0–3 months
• baby brain development activities
• newborn motor development
• cross-body movement for babies
• gentle rolling preparation
• rocking and swaying
• tummy time
• sensory play
• baby movement and connection
Early development is supported by many everyday experiences, including movement, tummy time, visual tracking, touch, hearing your voice and responsive interaction.
Keep all movements slow, gentle and baby-led. Never force a movement, and stop if your baby becomes uncomfortable or unsettled.
