The US-Israeli war against Iran is triggering unintended consequences across the Middle East. Global oil supplies are disrupted, regional conflicts are widening, and Türkiye-Israel tensions have emerged as a dangerous new flashpoint. Has Washington unleashed a crisis it can no longer control?  US President Donald Trump vowed to end America's endless wars. He also promised a quick victory against Iran. But nearly eight months after the US and Israel launched their attacks, the conflict remains at a stalemate. And with no end in sight, there's an uncomfortable reminder of America's last prolonged war just next door. Meanwhile, hostilities between Türkiye and Israel are growing. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has warned Ankara against testing Tel Aviv's resolve. And just days ago, he threatened to kill a senior Hamas leader following talks in Ankara, drawing condemnation from Turkish officials. And with crucial elections approaching in both the US and Israel, could domestic political pressures change their calculations and reshape the course of the war?   Guest   Scott Ritter Former Chief UNSCOM in Iraq
