Old Polish Tango - Przysięgnij mi (Swear To Me), 1930

Przysiegnij mi... (Swear, You'll Never Throw Me) Tango z teatru "Morskie Oko" (H.Wars - A.Włast) - Orkiestra pod dyr. Henryka Golda z refrenem (Tadeusz Faliszewski), Syrena-Electro 1930 (Polish) NOTE: Here's one more haunting & evocative old Polish tango composed by Henryk Wars - one of prewar masters of Polish light music. The disquiet, emotive Henry Gold's violin adds to this beguiling performance. Ofcourse, the only visual equivalent, worthy of such music, must be the photograms of masters of prewar Polish photography: Jan Bułhak, Antoni Węcławski and others, with their dreamy visons of the city, which, alas, destroyed during the 2nd WW, does not exist on this Earth in that form any more.
