In this video I will show my wooden 8 cylinder radial air engine, I've done everything I can think of to get it to run. This engine is really difficult to get running, firstly it needs to really warm outside & then it need a lot of oil (so much that it's dripping to the floor much) If you're lucky & the engine is in good mood it might run, but just barely. The design I used for controlling the incoming air is not good enough, there is too much friction & the more air you supply to the engine the more friction you introduce. I haven't even mentioned that it leaks air from every possible direction.
Even though this engine isn't great I've learned a lot of interesting things along the way (one of them is that having lots of patience can really help sometimes) Okay so now what? well I've got a few other engines to show still & I'm going to remake this engine again, but this time I'm going to use oscillating cylinders instead. This is because I've found out that they're the most air efficient typ I''ve built this far & it will probably be stronger since there are less parts to cause friction. Until then, I hope you enjoy this short video & I'll see you in the next one! :)
A comment is always appreciated, rate the video so I know what you think & subscribe so you get updated about new videos being released!
