How to Convert a Coaster Brake to Freewheel

I am back. Practical Cyclocamping shows you how to modify a coaster brake bike wheel to freewheel. That means you can back pedal as on a freewheel hub. Install hand brakes. You do this so that you can easily position your pedals to start from a stop. These hubs have a spring inside so you want to tighten the cone nuts tighter to minimize slop in the hub.
