Class 60s add to the Fantastic Carlisle Locomotive Variety 17 October 2026

Saturday 17th October at Carlisle. A Class 60 resurgence! Three 60s were captured on two ballast trains headed for Teeside. On top of that we have Class 56s on a RHTT, 90s on intermodals plus a 68 and 88 on the Tesco train and a 70 on the Logs! Finally a Class 66 on the Cement empties. On the passenger side although we see a northbound and southbound Meridian for Lumo both we empty stock workings to and from the Central Rivers maintenance depot. All other trains were cancelled even south of Preston! Presumably engineering works in the south? The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.
