First Video about Andaman and Nicobar travel series. I travelled to Andaman by Ship called MV SWARAJ DWEEP. It was a Four-day journey, (Approximate,) This Ship started to Sail on Saturday 5:30pm and reached Andaman Jetty on Tuesday 12:00 afternoon, a total of 67 hours sailing at Bay of Bengal Sea. I have captured all moments from boarding the ship at Chennai Port up to Andaman destination port. Travel life inside the ship, complete tour of the ship etc. Information about MV Swaraj Dweep Ship: This travel information from Chennai to Andaman pertained to this particular Ship. The ticket rates are slightly varying from ship to ship, there are other ships such as Campbell Bay, MV Sindhu and MV Nalanda. However, this MV Swaraj Dweep is quite old Ship – entered into service probably in year 1999. Passenger capacity 1,200, Length – 157 meters, width – 22 meters, It’s a passenger cum Cargo vessel. (Opposite Customs House) Ticket booking website: dss.andamannicobar.gov.in Prices: There are TWO prices - Islanders of Andaman & Nicobar and non-islanders: Deluxe Cabin: Islanders – 8,245/- Non-Islander 15,905/- (AC Cabin with attached Bathroom and toilet) 2 people in Cabin First Class Cabin: Islanders – 7,445/- Non Islander 13,195/- (AC Cabin with attached Bathroom and toilet) 4 people in Cabin Second Class Cabin: Islanders – 5,600/- Non-Islander 10,495/- (AC Cabin) Bathroom and toilet outside – 6 people in cabin Bunk Bed: Islanders – 1,530/- non-islander 4,115- Bunk Beds similar like trains, Bathroom and toilet outside – Big Dormitories A small Toll tax on above ticket will be an extra. Food Charges will be an extra: for Bunk Bed Rs 900++, for all Cabins Rs 1200++ Food timings: Early morning Tea (6:30AM) Breakfast 8:30AM, Lunch 12:30 afternoon and Dinner 7:00pm There was a Canteen on terrace, passengers can avail Tea Coffee, Biscuits, cold drinks & water upon payment.
