The opening with Circle of Life is particularly impressive and remains one of the best openings to a musical. For Magic at the Musicals, Shaun Escoffery, Thenjiwe Nofemele and Posi Morakinyo brought together Circle of Life and He Lives in You. Having Mufasa, Rafiki and Simba together worked really well, and the songs sounded superb with the orchestra in the Royal Albert Hall. After more than 25 years in the West End, The Lion King is still going strong, and this was a great reminder of just how good the music is.
