The Mystery of Sunflower Serenade - Painting Story

Watch a magical realism painting come to life, and hear every decision I made along the way. A time-lapse painting story from my Musical Series. There are words hidden in this painting. In the sky. In the field. In the sunflower petals. Some readable. Some just there as pattern. What do they say? Why are they there? In this video I walk you through every layer of Sunflower Serenade, the digital plan I started with, the music notes I collaged in and then covered, the vibrant pink glaze that was TOO vibrant, the field of sunflowers that swallowed my characters, and the palette knife finish that finally made everything work. At the end, I answer the mystery. And it comes back to my grandmother's garden. 🌷 SEE THE PAINTING at evelyneverret.com 🌷 SUBSCRIBE for weekly painting stories + daily painting shorts 🌷 STUDIO LETTER - monthly notes from the studio https://www.evelyneverret.com/come-in CHAPTERS 0:00 Intro + the mystery 1:19 The plan (digital source) 2:27 The foundation that disappeared (music notes) 3:51 The pink that was too much 5:13 The sunflowers that ate everything 7:11 The palette knife finish 7:52 The mystery answered 9:00 Outro #MagicalRealism #PaintingProcess #TimeLapse #SunflowerSerenade #NarrativeArt #EvelyneVerret #OilPainting #PaintingStory #ArtStudio #ContemporaryPainting
