Don Rickles Completely Broke Dean Martin — And Dean Loved Every Second

Don Rickles completely broke Dean Martin at the Dean Martin Celebrity Roast, and Dean loved every second. Watch Rickles take over the dais and turn a tribute into nonstop insult comedy. Rickles opens the tribute by talking about Dean as if he vanished years ago. Then he goes after everyone he can reach. He grills Jimmy Stewart about his long trip, makes Paul Lynde's seat look suspicious and reads a pile of "telegrams" that all land on Dean. Orson Welles hits back with Shakespeare. Rickles stumbles over Hubert Humphrey's home state, and Bob Hope gets pulled into a joke about Dean's tuxedo. Then the dais hits back. Joey Bishop gets teased about his place in the Rat Pack next to Frank Sinatra, and Nipsey Russell plays doctor. Rowan and Martin team up on Rickles, and Rich Little, Tony Orlando and Georgia Engel all take shots at the roastmaster. Under the insults is real affection. Rickles remembers how scared he was walking onto Dean's show and the break Dean gave him. Dean answers with one of the shortest punchlines of the night. 👍 Like the video if Rickles made you laugh, comment with your favorite Don Rickles insult, and subscribe for more classic celebrity roasts and vintage TV comedy. #DonRickles #DeanMartin #CelebrityRoast
