A complete rebevel and edge-refinement session, taking this knife from a heavier bevel correction to a clean, refined apex. For this sharpening session, I used a three-stage abrasive progression, with each stone serving a specific purpose: Sharpening progression: 1. Forever Superabrasive Resin Bonded – 200 Grit The heavy-lifting stage. Used to establish the new bevel geometry, remove excess material and bring the edge back to a consistent bevel. 2. Cheefarcut Sintered Diamond – 400 Grit Moving into refinement. This stage removes the deeper scratches left by the 200-grit resin stone while developing a cleaner and more consistent apex. 3. Thleite Vitrified Diamond – 1000 Grit The finishing stage. Refining the scratch pattern further and producing a clean, crisp apex with a refined edge finish. What I enjoy about this progression is how each abrasive contributes to the final result. From the aggressive material removal of the resin-bonded stone to the controlled refinement of sintered and vitrified diamond, the goal is a properly formed apex rather than simply chasing a polished bevel. Three different bonding technologies, three different stages of sharpening, one objective: a sharp, functional edge.
