Welcome back to another watercolour painting session in my Seawhites of Brighton sketchbook!! I’m happy you joined me on this tutorial and I really hope it’s useful for you as I take you through the process that I use to do this landscape, from pencil sketch to pigments and also some ink to give me the most contrast between light and dark! The reference I’m painting today is another local scene (Dovestones country park) Just a stones throw away from where I live, so it’s a lovely place for us to visit and have a walk around the reservoir! For this sketchbook entry I’m using my M. Graham pallette and a small selection of my usual brushes and kicking of with a Hake brush to get those broad washes on the paper! Hope you enjoy this one and I’d love to hear from you in the comments section 👍 —————————- 00:00 - 00:33 My Reference 00:33 - 08:05 Pencil sketch 08:05 - 12:05 Hake brush washes 12:05 - 13:16 Colour mixing 13:16 - 16:53 painting wet on wet 16:53 - 19:06 Painting the tree! 19:06 - 20:04 Painting the stone wall 20:04 - 20:30 Different tones 20:30 - 22:06 Thanks for watching! ———————————
