Riding to Kudremukh, Chikmagalur in Heavy Rain & Fog | Monsoon Bike Ride | EP. 3

After exploring Baba Budangiri, I’m finally heading towards Kudremukh on my bike. 🏍️🌧️ And since it’s monsoon season, the ride is anything but predictable. 😂 Along the way, I ride through thick fog, heavy rain, strong winds, muddy roads, small villages, damaged bridges and a few off-road sections. At some points, the fog gets so thick that I can barely see 10–15 metres ahead. I’m also staying in the Kudremukh region for the next few days, with 5 different treks planned over 9 days. So this ride is just the beginning of the adventure. From dealing with my rain pants getting damaged, to getting my bike completely covered in mud, seeing the effects of recent flooding, and even getting my first-ever leech encounter 😂 — this was a proper monsoon ride.
