Along the way, a large number of police officers were deployed to prepare for demonstrations, causing severe traffic congestion on certain sections of EDSA. As a brief piece of trivia, Araneta City, formerly known as Araneta Center, was purchased in 1952 by J. Amado Araneta. The 35-hectare property sits on bedrock at an elevation of 43 meters, making it the highest point in Metro Manila. At its core is the iconic Smart Araneta Coliseum, nicknamed "The Big Dome," which was the largest indoor arena in Asia upon its opening in 1960 and hosted the legendary "Thrilla in Manila" boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in 1975.
