Booker The Evangelist | The Cat in God's Care

Christians are called to witness for God. Mark 16:15 says, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel… Preaching sounds intimidating to me, but what if we thought about witnessing a little differently? If you witnessed an accident on the playground, you would tell the teacher what you saw. So, if we’re witnesses for God, we just have to tell people what we’ve seen about God - what God has done for us. To help explain this, my friend Alicia shares a story about her cat Booker. When Booker was diagnosed with a serious health problem that required risky surgery, Alicia not only prayed to God, but she made a promise. She dedicated Booker to God and said that for every day he lived, she would give a $1 offering. Not only did Booker survive the surgery, but he has continued a very healthy and happy life for seven years! By sharing her story, she witnessed about God to the vets that worked on Booker and to the kids at our church. Her story helped our family when our cat became sick. Then we witnessed to our vet, who then witnessed to all her office staff.
