Trying Something New - Superior Hiking Trail (East Caribou River)

Turtle's back on the trail! Join us for an overnight trip over the border between Cook and Lake counties along the SHT. We both push our boundaries a little, try out new equipment and hiking plans, and get a lot of joy out of camping together for the first time since April. In this video: footage of the SHT between Sugarloaf Road Trailhead and East Caribou River, and then down the spur to the Caribou Falls Wayside. high ridges above the lake, abundant young birches and ferns, and then a stunning trip down the Caribou River valley including a stop at Caribou Falls quite a lot of flora and fauna, including a new bird I'd never seen before!
