A transformation of a street or any public space is a fascinating experience to witness. This is especially true when that street represented everything that could go wrong with a public space. This video is a documentation of the complete transformation of Kalvi Varu Street, in Mylapore, Chennai for Kavitha Selvaraj's team at CityWorks. (The street is located behind the Vidya Mandir school and along the Buckingham Canal). The street had been in a poor state for decades and it took a little over 18 months of hard work to turn it into a space that works and looks like it should.
